                    The Teaching Plan of Grade Seven


                                  Module Two    Man''s best friend
               A text of
Unit Three     A blind man and his “eyes” in a fire


Teaching aims:  


1. knowledge aims:


(1).The students can learn the following words by heart:


   Blind, helpful,allow,apologize ,lead,wake,finally,appear


2). The students can use these sentences to ask and answer.


   -- What animal do you like?  --I like dogs…


   --Why do you like dogs…?--Because they are helpful.


   --Did you help the blind man?—Yes,I did.


2. Ability aim:


Train the students listening , speaking,reading and writing skills by


using the language.


3. Moral aim:


a.Tell the students we should love disabled men and protect animals.


b.The students can learn how to protect themselves when the building is on fire.


c.The students can be more interested in English.


Teaching important points: 1.New words 2. The Target language


Teaching difficult point:


To describe what happened in the hotel and retell the text


Teaching methods:   Games and Task-based approach


Learning methods:   Cooperation(group workpair work)  


Teaching aids:     Multi-media computer


Teaching procedures:


Step1 Warming up ---A report----My favourite animal is____.


Step2. Leading in-----Do you like dogs? Why? How do you look after it?


Step 3. Presentation


 Firstly,listen to the tape and make students understand the text.


 Secondly,read the first paragraph and answer questions.


 Thirdly,read the second paragraph and answer questions.


  Fourthly,read the last paragraph and answer questions.


Step 4. Oral practice


 1.Make a dialogue(1.John and a receptionist,2.John and a fireman.)


 2.Give a summary of the whole text---retell the text


 3.Give a summary of what they learned from the text.for example,How to treat   animals and the disabled people,how to keep the fire rules.


Step 5. Consolidation ---Fill in the blanks according to the text.


VIII:Words practice.


1. Written practice of words and the past forms of verbs.


2.Written practice of phrases of the text.


3.Group discussion___Did John save Charlie or did Charlie save John?


Step 7. Homework 1.Describe one of the animals you like
